It’s worth noting that the American Fancy Rat and Mouse Association (AFRMA) acknowledges and classifies these patterns when they become visible as distinct stripes on the belly. I’m particularly excited to share that, as of 2023, we’ve expanded our genetic endeavors, incorporating this captivating gene not only into our standard line but also into our beloved dwarf line. This addition has breathed new life and character into our breeding program, making the downunder pattern a cherished favorite among our rat enthusiasts.
